![The Isle V3 Map The Isle V3 Map](/uploads/1/2/5/6/125658182/921778277.jpg)
Updated to game versionIsle V3 got major updates in this patch, so here's what's new:ROCKS: Utah Rock was removed entirely. Rip raptors.ROCKS: Pride Rock is just north of Docks. A very cool rock indeed.ROCKS: Splash has some neat little rock formations around it, including a small stone bridge.ROCKS: The Rock Wall and giant metal fences now block off access to the Archipelago.-WATER: 4 new ponds and 1 new lake!- Pride Rock has a pond next to it.- Coast pond is on the far Western coastline.- Gem is a bright blue pond right outside Port in the jungle.- Hermit's Lake (Big Hermit) is far north from Splash.- Little Hermit is a pond north west of Big Hermit, far near the coastline. Check the version in my stash to see where it is.WATER: A large river now streams into Gulf pond.WATER: Many rivers have been widened and most of them are deeper than before.WATER: Splash now has a river flowing to Donut all the way.WATER: Party Pool at the radio tower is now two puddles on the ground. Name stays.WATER: Twins and Titan's lake now got some extra islands on them.-POI: A couple of new ramps leading away from the canyons and the ravine.POI: A path starts from the Port and leads to the Gem and Swamp complex through the jungle.POI: A path now leads through the mountains east of Murky pond all the way to the beach, indicating a new spawn area.-BIOME: The jungle biome has changed its area slightly. Some places it was removed and some others gained a bit. Its overall size shrunk.BIOME: Several areas that had no vegetation are now covered with forest.-In addition to official updates, here's what's new on my map:- I took new footage as a base, so the map is now more detailed than before.
Experience fierce open world survival gameplay as you attempt to stay alive on an unforgiving island inhabited by dinosaurs!
I also used some filters to highlight the differences in altitude so that hills and cliffs are more visible.- Highlighted more of the major falls and rapids along rivers.- Fixed a typo, 'Moutain stream'. Can't believe nobody noticed lol.Let me know if I missed anything! I've been ill all week and burned through a rough headache to get this map update done, so I excuse myself of any errors I've made.
Happy grazing!. The creator of the interactive map and the names it uses for locations were created largely based on my map. I invented many of the names myself because they either didn't have any before or Tigrinum's names were inaccurate or just too long to catch on.
So whoever created that interactive map already picked up a lot of the terminology from mine. Don't know why they chose to implement only some and change some others, but I'm all in for collaboration. The community would only benefit from a streamlined naming convention.
Then again, im a hermit bitch and prefer to have full control over my work so that might become an issue if i have to do compromises when it comes to location names. I've been playing for a month or so now. I'm just starting to get used to Isle V3, but aside from a few staple locations I played at prior (like RR, which was ironically removed haha), I'm still trying to put a name to places that aren't so obvious to me.If needed I can try - when I get home, I'm at work currently - to find screenshots or video for reference, but otherwise as a description: it's a small multi-tiered section of waterfalls. A narrow pathway to the left leads up to a small area surrounded by rocky walls. There's a slab of rocks on the right where Austros/Raptors can jump on.
Does anyone know what that's called? I was with a pack of Austros last night (first time playing them. They're really beautiful and fast, however I quickly discovered very weak in every other aspect). I was killed after a few glorious hours and am hoping to be able to find a group to get nested in and play as one again tonight. I was hoping to migrate to that area again if my potential new herd isn't in that area already.Does anyone know where that is or should I just wait to upload screenshots later? To the north I remember there was a cluster of ferns and rivers with small land inlets that you could swim to to travel across.
That's all I remember uniquely save for the waterfalls/rock hiding spot.
Ok, just read your Intro above, so you are the first one who made map? Lol Well my bad, as I said in my other comment, common names are already in use by the community, and having too many different names of the same places in hazardous and not productive.
Even if you were the first one to invent these names, well, they changed. Today someone tells me he is at Murky Pond, I'll go to the place you call 'Northeastern Pond'. But I understand your point of view. It's all good man. I was not telling you to change them.:)I looked at your updated version you linked, you have the secret pond up there. ^^Merry Xmas, once again its a good map, my comments are just observations.
Your map is wrong mate, you forgot the pond behind the Aviary. You placed Murky Pond where Little Duo ponds are, and Eastern Pond is called Hidden Pond I believe. Also at Hotsprings, only 3 ponds are part of hotsprings, the 2 above do not have geysers coming out of them, so, they cannot be hotsprings, they also have their own names. (If everyone has a different name of the places we go nowhere, Vulnonas map names are for now the common terms used.)Mud circle is not present ingame. And you forgot the pond hidden in the mountain when you travel from Hotsprings to Murky.Apart from that, the spawns areas seem correct. And the whole thing is very nice!Cheers for your work!
